The collection consists of the papers of Dorena R. Elliott from 1944-1981. The papers include minutes, correspondence, printed material and other administrative records that document her involvement in two African American fraternal organizations, the Daughters of Isis and the Order of the Eastern Star. The Daughters of Isis, Saudi Court 121 records include certificates, correspondence, member communications, member lists, minutes, and programs that document the organization's activities from 1950-1981. The Order of the Eastern Star records include similar material, such as correspondence, member communications, and programs. The collection also includes selected issues of the Order of the Eastern Star's newsletter, O.E.S. NEWS, from 1961-1969, and a photograph of the Ohio Grand Chapter in Toledo, Ohio.

Dorena R. Elliott (1902-1997) was an African American clubwoman in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was active in several African American fraternal organizations associated with the Masonic Order, including the Daughters of Isis.
